On October 17, 2023, Tajikistan and China aviation authorities met under the Third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation (BRF), in which representatives of the Civil Aviation Agency under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and SUE “Tajikairnavigation” participated. On the sidelines of the meeting, the Memorandum of Understanding on the joint construction of the “Air Silk Road” was signed by Dilshod Safarzoda the Director of Civil Aviation under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and Song Zhiyong the Director General of the Civil Aviation Administration of the People’s Republic of China.

The purpose of the signed memorandum is to promote the expansion of the construction of air transport corridors, exchange specialists experience, expansion of economic, commercial and social cooperation and give a serious impetus to the development civil aviation services quality.

It should be highlighted that during more than 30 years of  Tajik and Chinese collaboration, various documents have been signed. However, the signed Memorandum of Understanding will contribute to increasing the republic aviation and aeronautical capacity.
