On September 24, 2026, the first aircraft of LLC “Shohin Airlines” — L-410 NG regional plane arrived in Tajikistan.

Officials from the civil aviation sector, representatives of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Civil Aviation Agency under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, aviation industry executives and staff, as well as representatives of LLC “Shohin Airlines” gathered to welcome the airline’s first aircraft.

At the welcoming ceremony, Zafar Ahmadzoda, General Director of the LLC “Shohin Airlines," delivered a welcoming address and greeted the attendees.

Zafar Ahmadzoda noted that the arrival of the L-410 NG aircraft for “Shohin Airlines” marks beginning of a new phase in the company’s operations and is result of implementing its plans to expand passenger air travel.

According to him, the aircraft was acquired to expand the company’s operations and create new opportunities to develop regional air routes.

The company leadership emphasized that the L-410 NG is designed for regional flights and can operate in various conditions, including in mountainous areas.

The aircraft accommodates 19 passengers, boasts fuel efficiency, and is capable of operating regional flights.

He stated that the use of the new aircraft creates favourable conditions for expanding the flight network and further developing domestic air travel.

Zafar Ahmadzoda also emphasized that this initiative is being carried out as part of the constructive policy and ongoing support of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, aimed at developing economic sectors, including civil aviation.

Then, the Minister of Transport of the Republic of Tajikistan, Azim Ibrohim, delivered the address, noting the importance of the arrival of the new regional aircraft for the further development of air transport in the country.

In his speech, the Minister of Transport highlighted the achievements made in Tajikistan’s civil aviation sector in recent years and emphasized that, with the ongoing support of the Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon, significant measures are being taken to develop aviation infrastructure, modernize airports, improve service quality, and strengthen air transport capabilities.

Continuing the ceremony, Habibullo Nazarzoda, Director of the Civil Aviation Agency under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, spoke about the importance of the new L-410 NG aircraft's arrival for the development of domestic and regional air services.

Habibullo Nazarzoda emphasized that the development of air connectivity is crucial not only for improving transport accessibility for citizens but also for the growth of the tourism sector.

According to him, expanding air travel capabilities can help improve access to the country's various regions, attract foreign tourists, and promote Tajikistan’s tourism potential.

The acquisition of the L 410 NG aircraft marks the beginning of a new phase in the development of the fleet of “Shohin Airlines”.

Until now, the company’s fleet consisted solely of helicopters; the arrival of this new aircraft represents the company’s first step toward developing fixed-wing passenger air travel.

LLC “Shohin Airlines” is a private carrier registered in the Republic of Tajikistan. The company focuses on developing national civil aviation and regional and international air transport, as well as implementing new passenger transportation projects.

The arrival of the first L 410 NG aircraft in the “Shohin Airlines” fleet marks a new step toward enhancing air transport capabilities and expanding regional air connectivity within the Republic of Tajikistan.
