INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION IN THE SKIES OF TAJIKISTAN
In honour of the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan and Civil Aviation Day of the Republic of Tajikistan, a solemn festive event was hosted in the hall of OJSC “Tajik Air” with the initiative of the Civil Aviation Agency under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The ceremonial meeting was attended by the management of the Civil Aviation Agency under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, leadership of the State Unitary Enterprise “Tajikairnavigation”, OJSC “Dushanbe International Airport”, OJSC “Tajik Air”, LLC “Somon Air”, LLC “Shohin Airlines”, as well as civil aviation veterans, employees and industry specialists.
Habibullo Nazarzoda, Director of the Civil Aviation Agency under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, delivered the opening remarks. He extended sincere congratulations to the attendees, as well as to civil aviation veterans and personnel, on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan and Civil Aviation Day.
During his address, it was noted that state independence has created favourable conditions for the sustainable development of all spheres of national life, including civil aviation. Thanks to the constructive and far-sighted policies of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Honourable Emomali Rahmon, the country’s civil aviation sector is developing steadily alongside the state socio-economic progress. Important measures are being implemented to enhance service quality, strengthen infrastructure, and train highly qualified specialists.
Continuing the event, leaderships of the enterprises and airlines delivered congratulatory speeches, highlighting the vital role of civil aviation in economic development, the strengthening of international ties, and the creation of new opportunities for cooperation and Tajikistan’s integration into the global air transport network.
In addition, a number of industry executives, employees, and specialists were honoured with medals, certificates of merit, and other industry awards in recognition of their significant contributions to the development of civil aviation, their effective performance, and their dedicated service. Industry veterans were also presented with commemorative awards for their achievements and significant contributions to the establishment and development of the country’s civil aviation sector.
In his address, Davron Shodmonbekzoda, First Deputy SUE “Tajikairnavigation” General Director congratulated the attendees on the momentous holidays and emphasized that the development of civil aviation is inextricably linked to the constant support and attention of the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon. It is precisely thanks to the state constructive policy and strategic vision for development that the country’s civil aviation sector is strengthening as a vital component of national infrastructure and adapting to modern demands.
Later in the event, industry veterans took the floor to share recollections regarding the history of the establishment and growth of Tajikistan’s civil aviation, their own professional careers, and the sector’s achievements, as well as fond memories of their colleagues and associates.
The addresses given by veterans served as a valuable lesson for the industry’s younger generation, contributing to further strengthen respect for the history of civil aviation, dedicated service, and the best professional traditions.
In conclusion, it was noted that the achievements and successes of civil aviation are the result of the specialists’ selfless labour, high level of professional expertise, and effective cooperation among industry entities. The participants expressed their confidence that, guided by a strong sense of patriotism and professional responsibility—and by leveraging available opportunities—they would continue to make a significant contribution to the further development of civil aviation in the Republic of Tajikistan.
The celebratory event concluded in a warm, festive atmosphere, marked by deep respect for past achievements and hope for an even brighter and more successful future for the country’s civil aviation.
