On July 8, 2026, a press conference was hosted at the OJSC “Tajik Air” hall to discuss the performance of the civil aviation sector of the Republic of Tajikistan for the first half of 2026.

The meeting was attended by the Deputy Head of the Infrastructure Development Department of the Executive Office of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the management of the Civil Aviation Agency under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, SUE “Tajikairnavigation”, OJSC “Dushanbe International Airport”, LLC “Somon Air”, OJSC “Tajik Air”, as well as representatives of domestic and international mass media.

During the meeting, the performance of the civil aviation sector and aviation enterprises of the Republic of Tajikistan for the first half of 2026 was analyzed and discussed.

Particular attention was paid to the impact of the current global situation on the country’s civil aviation sector, ensuring supplies of aviation fuel, expanding the geography of domestic and international flights, increasing the number of transit flights, ensuring flight safety, improving the level of air navigation services and the activities of domestic airlines, as well as modernizing the country’s airport infrastructure.

At the end of the meeting, media representatives were informed that, with the direct support of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, a number of cooperation agreements on establishing air service with foreign countries were signed in the current year. Several new international routes are expected to launch in the second half of 2026.
