In accordance with the Resolution of the United Nations General Assembly, 12 February is marked annually as the International Day for the Prevention of Violent Extremism as and when Conducive to Terrorism. To mark this date, an information meeting was held on 12 February 2026 at the State Unitary Enterprise “Tajikairnavigation” as part of the Departmental Training Plan.

The meeting was attended by Mirzosharifzoda Ikrom, prosecutor of the Main Supervisory Department of the Transport Prosecutor’s Office of Tajikistan, Abduahad Tursunov, investigator of the Department for Supervision of Investigation and Investigation of Particularly Important Criminal Cases of the Transport Prosecutor’s Office of Tajikistan, as well as the enterprise management and employees.

The meeting was opened by Davron Shodmonbekzoda, First Deputy General Director of the SUE “Tajikairnavigation”, who emphasized that terrorism and violent extremism pose a serious threat to the modern world and that it is important to raise legal awareness and vigilance among citizens in order to prevent such phenomena. As noted, such events contribute to strengthening legal knowledge and civic responsibility.

 

Then, Abduahad Tursunov, investigator of the Main Supervisory Department of the Transport Prosecutor’s Office of Tajikistan, made a speech regarding the nature and negative consequences of terrorism, noting that this phenomenon poses a serious threat to the security of society and the stability of states, and that combating it requires collective cooperation between all institutions. At the same time, participants were provided with detailed information on legislative requirements and ways to prevent extremism.

 

In conclusion, it was emphasized that the SUE “Tajikairnavigation” always takes the necessary measures to raise employee awareness, strengthen work discipline and prevent any undesirable phenomena, including extremism and terrorism, and continues to cooperate with the relevant authorities on this issue.
