The State Unitary Enterprise “Tajikairnavigation” following the wise policy of the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Honourable Emomali Rahmon, on transforming the airspace of the Republic of Tajikistan into a transit country, is holding a  Route Development Group – Eastern Part of the ICAO EUR Region – Special Coordination Meeting – “RDGE-SSM/2025” in Dushanbe from September 16 to 19, 2025, in cooperation with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).

The meeting was officially opened by Habibullo Nazarzoda, Director of the Civil Aviation Agency under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, followed by a speech by Loik Begijonzoda, General Director of the State Unitary Enterprise “Tajikairnavigation” noting that the purpose of the event is to coordinate the planning and development of the ATS route network in the eastern part of the ICAO European region, including Central Asia.

   

The meeting was attended by representatives of 12 countries — Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, the Russian Federation, the United States of America, Tajikistan, Turkey, and Uzbekistan — as well as representatives of international organizations such as IATA, ICAO, Dushanbe International Airport, domestic airlines such as Somon Air and Tajik Air, and airlines such as KLM, Air France, Lufthansa, Finnair, Delta Air Lines, Boeing, and Cathay Pacific.

Over the course of four days, industry experts consider proposals to improve the ATS route network, review and update existing proposals in the RDGE ATS Toute Catalogues, WP03 Far East area and interface and inclusion of new proposals in the RDGE ATS Route Catalogues.

It should be highlighted that this event marks an important step towards enhancing the safety and efficiency of air traffic in the Republic of Tajikistan’s airspace and the region as a whole, as well as strengthening international cooperation in the fields of aviation and air navigation.
