On August 21, 2025, a meeting was held in the building of the Civil Aviation Agency under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan between the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Tajikistan, esteemed Guo Zhijun, and the leadership of the Civil Aviation Agency, Nazarzoda Habibullo.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the issue of strengthening cooperation in the field of civil aviation development, opening direct flights on the Dushanbe – Xi'an and Dushanbe – Guangzhou routes, as well as improving flights on the Dushanbe – Urumqi and Dushanbe – Beijing routes.

At the same time, during the meeting, it was emphasized that in order to improve the professional level of civil aviation specialists, it is necessary to conduct advanced training courses on flight safety and aviation security to further expand the exchange of experience.

Holding such beneficial meetings and expanding routes with foreign airlines will play an important role in the implementation of the “Open Skies” policy. It should be recalled that with the support of the Government of the country and at the initiative of the Civil Aviation Agency, the “Open Skies” policy was introduced at the international airports of the Republic of Tajikistan from June 12, 2025. In order to improve air transportation and the unimpeded movement of citizens, the Civil Aviation Agency will further intensify its activities in the direction of opening new air routes and increasing the number of flights.
