SUE “Tajikairnavigation” specialists participated in the 33rd Working Meeting of the ICAO Route Development Group – Eastern Part of the EUR Region (RDGE/33), which was conducted from May 18 to 22, 2026, in Tbilisi, Georgia.
Representatives of national aviation authorities, air navigation experts, and international organizations participated in the meeting. The meeting focused on important issues related to airspace improvement, the creation of new air routes, and addressing regional aviation challenges.
Participants discussed the implementation of new air routes and modifications to existing ones, as well as future perspectives for the development of the Free Route Airspace (FRA) concept. These initiatives aim to reduce flight duration and fuel consumption, directly contributing to the reduction of aviation’s environmental impact. The meeting also addressed the improvement of civil-military coordination and challenges related to GNSS/GPS signal interference.
It should be highlighted that RDGE is an ICAO working group mandated to support air route development, airspace optimization, and enhanced regional coordination across Europe and Central Asia.
The participation of the SUE “Tajikairnavigation” specialists in such international conferences is of great importance for expanding industry cooperation, studying best international practices, and implementing modern air traffic management standards in the airspace of the Republic of Tajikistan.
