According to the Decree No. AP-1677 of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan dated March 4, 2025, “On the organization and holding of press conferences in ministries, departments, organizations and institutions, executive bodies of the state local authorities of Badakhshon Mountainous Autonomous Region, regions, Dushanbe City, as well as towns and districts on the results of the activities for 2025”, a press conference was held on January 28, 2025 in JSC “Tajik Air” hall.
At the press conference, issues related to the activities of the civil aviation sector and aviation enterprises of the Republic of Tajikistan in 2025 were discussed. The meeting was attended by the Deputy Head of the Infrastructure Development Department of the Executive Office of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the leadership of the Civil Aviation Agency under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, SUE “Tajikairnavigation”, JSC “Dushanbe International Airport”, OJSC “Somon Air”, JSC “Tajik Air”, as well as more than fifty representatives of domestic and foreign media.
During the press conference, media representatives received specific and detailed answers to their questions regarding the implementation of the “open skies” policy in the Republic of Tajikistan, opening of routes to new destinations, the provision of high-quality air navigation services, compliance the level and quality of services provided by domestic airlines and airports with the international standards, the increase in transit flights, the import of new aircraft, and the activities of aviation enterprises.
At the end of the meeting, officials answered questions regarding the opening of new routes, increasing the number of flights, introducing domestic flights, the progress of construction work at Dushanbe International Airport, and the activities of domestic airlines.
