President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, participated and delivered a speech at the International Investment Forum “Dushanbe Invest - 2025” at the Vahdat Palace in the capital.
The President of the country, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, first welcomed the participants of the forum to Tajikistan.
It was emphasized that the main goals of the forum are to present the vast resources and opportunities of Tajikistan for investment, the country's readiness for cooperation and new technologies and ideas, as well as the determination of the Government of the country to continue reforms and changes that create favorable conditions for sustainable development and the formation of long-term partnerships.
The Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, pointed out that the Dushanbe Forum focuses on “green” investments that ensure sustainable economic development, taking into account social justice and the rational use of natural resources. It was said that for this reason, the forum is being held under the theme “Green Investments: Today’s Opportunities for Tomorrow’s Sustainability”.
The Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, stated that the forum provides an important basis for developing practical solutions, strengthening mutual trust, and unlocking the investment potential of the region based on the principles of sustainability and mutual benefit.
In particular, it was said that Tajikistan’s strategic location in the center of Eurasia allows us to act as a link between regions and continents, creating new transport, energy, and logistics corridors that connect different markets and peoples.
The Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, emphasized that “modern Tajikistan is a country with a rapidly developing economy, reliable development of international relations, and an increasingly favorable investment climate”.
It was noted that in recent years, our country has been implementing comprehensive reforms aimed at strengthening macroeconomic stability, developing the private sector, supporting entrepreneurship, digitization, and implementing innovative solutions.
President Emomali Rahmon called Tajikistan's huge hydropower potential, rich mineral resources and important strategic assets, young and energetic human capital among the competitive advantages of our country.
The need to pay attention to the development of the green economy and the adoption of the Strategy for the Development of the Green Economy in the Republic of Tajikistan for the period until 2037 was also considered.
Given the opportunities and potential of the energy sector, promising projects in this sector were offered to interested companies for investment.
Also, investors operating in the production of modern technologies, batteries, and the use of renewable energy sources were welcomed to contribute to the implementation of large-scale projects in these areas.
The Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, presented other investment opportunities for the country to the forum participants, including light and food industry, chemicals and pharmaceuticals, construction materials manufacturing, the agro-industrial complex, and the tourism sector.
“The Government of Tajikistan is constantly taking measures to create a favorable business climate. Today, we offer investors more than 240 guarantees and various benefits, more than 110 of which are tax and customs benefits,” - said the President of the country, Emomali Rahmon.
At the same time, President Emomali Rahmon called five free economic zones of Tajikistan suitable for the business activities of entrepreneurs and investors.
The President of the country highlighted that our strategic goal is to turn Tajikistan into a reliable long-term investment destination, focused on cooperation for sustainable development and integration into the global economy.
October 14 is celebrated in Tajikistan as Entrepreneurs' Day.
